At SKILLBILL, we’re not just about advancing renewable energy education and workforce development – we’re also committed to understanding the real-world impact of our work. That’s why we’ve created the SKILLBILL Social Impact Monitoring and Assessment (SIMA) framework. Α comprehensive tool designed to help us measure and evaluate how effective our initiatives are across various social factors.

Our SIMA model serves two important purposes: it helps us gather data on social impact and provides valuable insights to assess the economic impact of SKILLBILL’s activities; the social equity and inclusion; the educational opportunities offered; the challenges towards social acceptance and the policy influence. Under this, we will collect data using dedicated questionnaires and follow the outlined timeframe. Once we have all the information, we’ll analyze and share the results with our partners to inform decision-making.

Assessment and evaluation might sound similar, but they’re slightly different. Assessment focuses on data analysis to drive improvement, while evaluation judges performance against certain standards. SKILLBILL’s framework aims at helping us identify what’s working well and what could be improved. We want to collect evidence on how our project is affecting society, the environment and the economy so we can make informed decisions. Three key techniques are used to analyze the data we collect comparing results against set targets, evaluating different aspects of SKILLBILL against each other and aligning our results with global trends. This approach gives us insights into our performance and areas for improvement.

By systematically measuring and evaluating our impact, we aim to ensure that our initiatives create meaningful change and contribute to a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

Stay tuned for updates as we continue on this journey of making renewable energy education and workforce development more impactful and meaningful for everyone!
