Q-PLAN Hosts the 4th SKILLBILL Plenary Meeting

As part of its mission to shape a more sustainable Europe, Q-PLAN International proudly hosted the 4th SKILLBILL Plenary Meeting, gathering all four Working Groups of the Horizon Europe SKILLBILL project for a productive and future-focused virtual session.

Held on Monday, 19 May 2025, this milestone event celebrated two years of cross-European collaboration, setting the course for the future of skills development in RES.

Since its inception, SKILLBILL has worked to bridge the skills gap across the renewable energy value chain. Through strategic training frameworks, multi-stakeholder engagement, and the co-creation of practical knowledge, the project empowers both learners and professionals.

The four dedicated Working GroupsElectricity, Renewable Heat, Sustainable Mobility, and Renewable Fuels – have been at the core of this effort. The 4th Plenary brought these groups together to consolidate insights and look ahead to the emerging skills and job profiles Europe’s green transition demands.

The meeting sparked meaningful reflection and idea-sharing around:

  • Key findings and lessons learned from each Working Group
  • Identification of future-oriented job profiles and skill sets
  • Trends shaping education, employment, and training in the RES sector

Join us for the next major milestone:
June 26, 2025SKILLBILL’s Sustainable Futures Conference in Brussels, “Renewable Energy & Bio-Based Innovation for a Greener Europe”, bringing together policymakers, educators, industry leaders, and innovators to explore how skill-building can power Europe’s energy transformation.

In the meantime, the SKILLBILL Working Groups remain open as collaborative spaces for knowledge exchange, networking, and joint action.

Q-PLAN extends a heartfelt thank you to all Working Group members for their commitment and contributions. This plenary wasn’t just a project milestone – it reaffirmed the power of collaboration and shared vision in shaping a future-ready workforce.
