SKILLBILL marks its 2nd anniversary and we take this opportunity to celebrate the remarkable progress and milestones achieved in our mission to advance skilling, reskilling and upskilling in renewable energy and sustainability. Since September 2022, SKILLBILL has been at the forefront of driving education, fostering collaborations, and delivering training courses in the renewable energy sector. Over the past two years, our dedicated consortium have worked tirelessly to lay the foundation for a greener future.
Right from the start, SKILLBILL established a strong visual identity and digital presence, setting the stage for our activities. Our early efforts focused on extensive research to explore the renewable energy community and assess existing technologies. This groundwork was essential in shaping the direction of our project and ensuring that our initiatives were aligned with the needs of the sector. A milestone of great importance was the launch of SKILLBILL’s Green Portal in March 2023. A platform serving as a hub for knowledge sharing, peer learning, and stakeholder engagement. It has become a vital resource for our community, offering access to cutting-edge educational materials, research findings, and collaboration opportunities.
In June 2023, SKILLBILL hosted a successful co-creation workshop, which played a pivotal role in shaping the thematic focus of our working groups. These workshops brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including industry experts, educators, and policymakers, to collaboratively identify key challenges and opportunities in the renewable energy sector. The outcomes of these discussions have guided our subsequent activities and ensured that our efforts are targeted and impactful. Up to this point two rounds of SKILLBILL’s Working Groups have been completed and we are heading for the next one within November 2024.
In June 2023, SKILLBILL also participated in the European Sustainable Energy Week, where we had the opportunity to present our project’s main assets and key results. This event was a significant platform for us to showcase our progress, engage with a broader audience, and highlight the importance of skilling, reskilling, and upskilling in the renewable energy sector.
Moving on, during autumn 2023, SKILLBILL’s Specialization Program was launched too, designed to provide targeted training for key stakeholders in renewable energy sector, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to drive innovation and sustainability in their respective fields. To further amplify our message and reach a wider audience, we launched SKILLBILL’s promotional video in the winter of 2023. Moreover, in early spring 2024, we initiated our Vocational Education Training Program, which focuses on skilling, reskilling, and upskilling stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.
As we move into the third year of SKILLBILL, all of our main assets are active and contributing to our mission. We remain committed to stakeholder community engagement, knowledge sharing, and the continuous skilling of professionals in the renewable energy sector.
