The SKILLBILL project is thrilled to announce its first Mobilization and Mutual Learning (MML) Workshop, titled “Empowering the Future of Green Workforce and Policies“, scheduled for November 19, 2024, at 10:00 CET. This online event, organised be PEDAL consulting, will bring together experts, stakeholders and participants in the renewable energy sector to discuss and shape the future of green workforce development and policies. Based on the recommendations from the SKILLBILL Working Groups, the workshop aims to address key challenges and opportunities within the renewable energy sector while developing actionable solutions to promote a sustainable and skilled workforce.
During the workshop, participants will engage in discussions focused on building a skilled workforce. This part will identify barriers such as skills gaps, lack of training opportunities and the need for gender inclusivity. Additionally, attention will be given to reskilling traditional workers and providing targeted training for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. The second part of the workshop will explore policies for the new era, including necessary financial incentives, community engagement and public awareness campaigns aimed at facilitating the transition to renewable energy. Discussions will focus on effectively addressing barriers to ensure that the workforce is equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in a rapidly changing energy landscape.
